BRENDA FAYE WATSON-REDMON

WEWAHITCHKA, FL… Brenda Faye Watson-Redmon, a resident of Wewahitchka, Florida passed away Friday night, October 9, 2026, at a Dothan hospital. She was 84.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory with Reverend Curtis Rich officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made in Mrs. Watson-Redmon’s memory to a favorite charity.

Mrs. Brenda was born in Kinsey, Alabama to the late J.W. Rich and Katie Creel Rich. She lived most of her life in Kinsey, Alabama before moving to Wewahitchka, Florida thirty-four years ago. She attended Houston County High School. She retired as a property manager of an apartment complex. She was an outdoors lady, in which she loved to fish and garden (taking care of her orange trees). She was also avid reader. She was a member of the Kinsey Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gene Redmon; her sister, Glenda Rich; and her brother and his wife, James Rich (Jean).

Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughter, Kathy Hatcher (Steve); her son, Gary “PeeWee” Watson; her step-daughter, Terri Barrentine (Garry); her brothers, Daniel Rich (Nell) and Curtis Rich (Elaine); her grandchildren, Keisha Littlefield (Kevin), Megan Sims (Devin), Katie Hatcher, and Tabitha Barrentine (Kisha); her ten great-grandchildren; her one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
