CHARLIE C. STOKES 

ABBEVILLE… Charlie C. Stokes, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away Thursday morning, February 23, 2024, at a Dothan hospital. He was 89.

          Memorial services will be held 1:30 P.M. Sunday, March 3, 2024, at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Shorterville, Alabama with Pastor Gregory officiating. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

          Mr. Stokes was born to the late Eddie Stokes and Pearline Hardge Brooks. He lived in Abbeville, Alabama during his younger years. He moved to Tallahassee, Florida and retired from the City of Tallahassee. He moved back to the Abbeville, Alabama area after retirement. 

          Leaving to cherish his memories are his daughter, Margia Gregory (Percell); his sons, Ronnie C. Stokes and Donnell Stokes; his several brothers and sisters; his several grandchildren; his several great-grandchildren; and his several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
