CHRISTOPHER LEE SHIPHORST

HEADLAND, AL… Christopher Lee. Shiphorst, a beloved husband, father, and son, passed away on July 22, 2025.

Memorial services will be held 4:00 P.M. Friday, July 25, 2025, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Norman Simmons officiating and his son, Kyle Shiphorst, giving a eulogy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Christopher Lee Shiphorst was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, to Andrea Steelman Shiphorst and the late David Frank Shiphorst. Known for his stoic and steadfast nature, Mr. Shiphorst was, at his core, a man of deep love and unwavering devotion to his family. While he carried himself with quiet strength, those closest to him knew the sweet and tender heart behind his tough exterior.

In his younger years, he embraced life with a lively spirit, always ready for a good time and quick with a witty remark that could leave a room smiling—or scratching their heads—thanks to his sharp and dry sense of humor. He loved to cook and earned the unofficial title of “Master Chef” in his family’s kitchen, where no recipe was safe from his improvisational skills. He approached woodworking with equal passion, crafting creations as unique as his famous laugh—a sound that was instantly recognizable and impossible not to love.

Whether relaxing at home, swapping jokes with friends, or turning everyday meals into gourmet experiences, Mr. Shiphorst lived life on his own terms, with humor and a smile that will be dearly missed.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Kristy Lindeman Shiphorst; his daughter, Cayli Harrelson (Will); his son, Kyle Shiphorst; his mother, Andrea Steelman Shiphorst; his brother, Brian Shiphorst (Nancy); his nephews, Clark L. Smith (Jessica) and Garrett Turner (Savannah) and their families; aunt Marlene Schaaf (Tom) and their son, Andy Schaaf and family; sister in law, Cindy Lindeman-Clayton; and his niece, Michelle Griffin (Kyle).

He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an irreplaceable presence in the lives of his family and friends.
