CODY CHARLES LYNN

HEADLAND… Cody Charles Lynn, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Sunday morning, August 10, 2025, at a Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama. He was 79.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, with Minister Roy Glenn officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Lynn was born in Barbour County, Alabama, to the late Lonnie Charles Lynn, Sr. and Mary Lois Skipper Lynn. He lived most of his lifetime around the Headland, Alabama area. He was a farmer by trade and had recently been working with Rushing Farms of Headland.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Jimmie Lynn, Willie Muriel Lynn, Addie Lois Lynn, and Willie East “Man” Lynn.

Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Betty Dawkins Lynn; his daughters, Cynthia Brown (Avery) and Sylvia Horsely (Carlos); his son, Corey JaQuan Lynn; his bonus sons, Nicholas Brown and Amos Brown (Melissa); his sisters, Willie Mae Parker (David), Nettie Lynn, and Nellie Mae Turner; his brothers, Lonnie Charles Lynn, Jr. and Freddie D. Lynn; his grandchildren, Zaylin Brown, Jajuan Brown, Nadia Horsely, Trinity Horsely, and Kyleigh Horsely; his bonus grandchildren, Kara Nicole Brown and Alisha Renee Brown;bonus great grandchildren, Tylvrin Brown and Israel Javon Brown;  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving family members.
