DOTHAN… Florence Emma Bass, a resident of Extendicare Health and Rehabilitation in Dothan, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026. She was 80.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory, in the Magnolia Room. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Bass was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, to the late Charles William Pettit and Frances Marie Walker Pettit. She served her community as a nurse for many years. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish Church in Auburn, Alabama. She was known for her love of bingo.

Leaving to cherish her memories are her sons, John Anthony Pferrman, Charles Pferrman (Iris), and Xander Wilmoth; her eighteen grandchildren; and her twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
