KENNETH “KEN” WAYNE SMITH
SKIPPERVILLE… Kenneth “Ken” Wayne Smith, a resident of Skipperville, Alabama, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025, at his home. He was 83.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Browns Church Cemetery, with Reverend Randy Adams officiating. The family will receive friends following the service inside the church sanctuary. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made to the Echo Fire & Rescue, 11687 AL-27, Newville, Alabama 36353.
Mr. Smith was born in Clio, Alabama to the late Levi Smith and Ida Frankie Campbell Smith. He was a 1959 graduate of Clio High School. He retired after many years of service at Michelin Dothan Manufacturing. He was an avid fisherman and loved Alabama football.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Patrick Wayne Smith; his brother-in-law, Marion Wallace; his niece, Jennifer Wallace; his nephew, Tim Galloway.
Leaving to cherish his memories is his wife, Janette Galloway Smith; his son Anthony Dwain Smith (Glenda); his sister, Betty Wallace; his brother-in-law, Lamar Galloway (Ann); his grandchildren, Eric Anthony Smith (Katie) and Emily Smith Reeder (Colt); his great-grandchildren, Parker Sanford, Pacyn Smith, Patch Smith, Bryce Reeder, and Dawsyn Reeder; his nephew, Rob Wallace (Kathie); and his niece-in-law, Mimi Galloway.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Brent Barefield, Chuck Barefield, Eric Smith, Orin Galloway, Rob Wallace, Bobby Thomas, and Parker Sanford.
The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to Community Hospice for their love and care shown and given to their loved one during this time.
