LORRAINE ELIZABETH MURPHY
ABBEVILLE.…Lorraine Elizabeth Murphy, a resident of Abbeville, passed away Sunday evening, June 21, 2020, at her home. She was 84.
A Celebration of Life party will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 27, 2020, at the Lakeside Pavilion. A private graveside will be held at Ft. Mitchell Cemetery. Wright Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Miss Lori was born in Wishek, North Dakota to the late Adam Vossler and Hilda Deyle Vossler. She was a graduate of Ashley High School in Ashley, North Dakota. She had lived the last thirty-two years at Hardridge Creek in Abbeville, Alabama.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Murphy; her brother, Marvin Vossler; her son Kenneth H. Haupt; and her step-son Timothy Murphy.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughter, Bonita “Bonnie” Haupt Loose (Larry) of Jamestown, North Dakota; her son Steve Haupt (Susan) of Redmond, Washington; her sister Wilma Reuther of Ashley, North Dakota; her Step-sons, Dan Murphy (Peg), Mike Murphy (Sandy); her step-daughters, Patty Myers (Bill), and Kathleen Murphy; five special nieces; five special nephews; her eleven beautiful grandchildren; her twelve beautiful great-grandchildren; and her Chosen family; all of her dearest friends at Lakeside.
A special thank you to Southern Care Hospice for their extraordinary compassion and care for the last six months of her life as she in only her Miss Lori fashion gracefully battled COPD.
