MARTY ALLAN MARSHALL
HEADLAND… Marty Allan Marshall, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Monday, June 9, 2025, at his home. He was 58.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Tim McCraney officiating. A eulogy will be given by his wife, Cindy Rushing Marshall. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Headland, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 7:00 P.M. Friday, June 13, 2025, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Marty Marshall was a simple man with a big, beautiful smile and an even bigger heart. His infectious laugh could fill any room, and he never met a stranger. He loved deeply and wholeheartedly, leaving a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him. And just when you thought the stories were over, he always had one more to tell.
Mr. Marshall was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Larry Wood Marshall and Virginia Gayle Bostick Marshall. He was a 1985 graduate of Northview High School. He was a fifth-generation farmer, where he ran his family’s farm successfully. He loved his family, and he loved his hot rods.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his nephews, Tyler “Bubba” Hancock and John Robert Christian III.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Cindy Rushing Marshall; his daughters, Anna Marshall McKnight (Dustin) and Dr. Rebecca Marshall; his brothers, Mike Marshall (JoAnn) and Mitch Marshall; his granddaughters, Marshall MaryAllan Reid, Lake McKnight, and Lottie McKnight; his step-mother, Wilma Marshall; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Barbara Rushing; his sister-in-law, Robin Rushing Nichols (Greg); his brother-in-law, Marty Rushing (Patti); his nieces, Brooke Hancock, Makayla Marshall, and Mariah Marshall; his nephews, Addison Rushing (Madison), Alex Rushing, and Stetson Nichols (Catie); and several close friends and employees of the Marshall Farm.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Keith Beasley, Jesse Griffin, Tim Hartzog, William Parker, Kevin Scarborough, Adam Smith, and James Snellgrove. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Scotty Blankenship, James Bryson, Ashley Clements, Alex Cuevas, Buddy Griffin, Joe Hancock, Ken Hodges, Justin Hutto, Stan Kilpatrick, Brent Kimbrel, Michael Parris, Kirby Shelley, Keith Shippey, Chris Thompson, and Cody Wilkerson.
Marty, your love was a gift to all that knew you. Your laughter will echo in our hearts forever.
