MARVIN SCOTTY HARRISON

MIDLAND CITY, AL… Marvin Scotty Harrison, a resident of Midland City, Alabama, passed away Thursday night, February 16, 2023, at a Dothan hospital. He was 65.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 20, 2023, at Midland City Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Weed officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilgrim’s Rest Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Midland City Baptist Church. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

          Mr. Harrison was born in New Brockton, Alabama to the late Marvin Dolphus Harrison and Jeanette Adkison Harrison. He was a 1977 graduate of New Brockton High School. He was a truck driver. He was a member of the Midland City Baptist Church.

          Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Lane.

          Leaving to cherish his memories is his wife, Rhonda Wilson Harrison; his daughter, Toni Avery; his sons, Tracy Avery and Justin Harrison (Natalie); his sister, Janna Michelle Harrison; his mother-in-law, Linda Ann Wilson; his grandchildren, Marvin Zachary Turner, Cassidy Tidwell (Justin), and Gabriel Manning Harrison; his great-grandchildren, Raymone Hernandez, Rylan Scott Avery, and Kaylianna Tidwell.
