NADINE S. GREENE

SHORTERVILLE, AL… Nadine S. Greene, a resident of Shorterville, Alabama, passed away Thursday night, October 5, 2023, at her home. She was 79.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Mrs. Greene was born in the Tumbleton Community of Henry County, Alabama, to the late Ruby D. Shelley and Ola Lewis Shelley. She was a home maker and mother to her children her whole life. Nadine consistently read her bible and watched Paster John Hagee every Sunday. She was kind and passionate and a dedicate almsgiver to her two aunts and mother-in-law in their declining years. Nadine was also an excellent cook and loved to be in the kitchen. She loved yard work, especially cutting her grass, where she would cut it at least twice a week. She loved growing her flowers and gardening and it showed.

Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughters, April Staton (Tony), Becky L. Greene, and Betsy J. Roszkowski (Gregg); her granddaughter, Courtney Staton Bennett (Charles); her sister, Lavone Olive; and the father of her children, George S. Greene.
