PATRICIA ANN ORR
Dothan, AL – Patricia (Pat) Ann Wozniak Orr, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle Memory Care Unit following a lengthy battle with dementia.
Pat was born in LaPorte, Indiana on March 5, 1938 to the late Walter Harry Wozniak and Harriett J. Spychola Wozniak.
After graduating from LaPorte High School, she pursued her dreams at Holy Cross College in Notre Dame, Indiana, earning a degree in nursing. Pat embarked on her nursing journey working for a physician’s office in Madison, Indiana. Her unwavering passion for nursing led her to Clark County Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit in Jeffersonville, Indiana. After moving to Lafayette, Indiana, she continued working in the Intensive Care Unit at Home Hospital, until she was medically retired in 1979.
Pat was an incredible caregiver to her mother until her mother’s passing in 1999. In 2000, she made the move to Valdosta, Georgia to be close to her loving daughter. In 2016, she became a resident of the Presbyterian Home Memory Care Unit in Quitman, Georgia. In 2024, she relocated to the Wesley Place Nursing Home Memory Care Unit in Dothan, Alabama.
Those who knew Pat will remember her for her vibrant personality, quick wit, an incredible sense of humor, and for always inspiring those around her. She was gifted the nickname "Wozie" in high school, a testament to her enduring spirit. Embracing her Polish heritage, she delighted in sharing and hearing Polish jokes, earning her another nickname, "The Polish Princess." With a heart full of love for animals, reading, and crocheting beautiful afghans for family and friends, she also found joy in playing golf, water skiing, attending the Madison Regatta, and basking in the sunshine.
In addition to her mother and father, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Joan Pol.
She is survived by two sons, Keith Orr of Lafayette, IN, Kevin (Kimberly) Orr of Whiteston, IN, and daughter Kelly (Jeff) Oates of Newville, AL; five grandchildren, Megan (Adam) Fox, Kelsey (David) Howell, Mackenzie Orr, Brooke (Mason) Mayes, and Keaton Orr; seven great grandchildren, Emmie Mayes, Wylder Mayes, Emery Howell, Brax Mayes, Callum Howell, Cameron Fox, Kaycee Mayes, four step-grandchildren, Kellyn (Corbin Noble), Madyson Eddy (Zack Deal), Jackson Eddy, Lauryn (Josh) Kellenberger and three step-great grandchildren, Maisy Eddy, Parker Noble and Eloise Kellenberger.
